Between September and December 2007, Mâäk’s Spirit played 48 times in Brussels. In a lauderette, at a butchers, at a grocers, in an art gallery, in a station,... not in the street. 48 times is three times a week during 4 months. A specific (instant-or not-) composition for each place. Sometimes there will be a guest.
The music is destined for involantary spectators, but you could obtain the adresses , dates and hours of the performances by calling the following number 0476/624394 week by week or at the Beursschouwburg.
Mâäk’s Spirit was a resident at the Beursschouwburg for a period of three years. This was the first project, we called it:“Brussels Residence/ there are no strawberries in the winter”.
The “48 times” were filmed and shown on the 1st of March 2008 at the Beursschouwburg.
